In the US, every year, in the month of March, Town Meeting Day is celebrated as a holiday. It is considered as one of the enthusiastically observed holidays among other holidays in the country. On this day, many American citizens go out and enjoy a feast with family and friends. But, both non-religious as well as religious groups of people, celebrate this Town Meeting Day, as per their own desire. However, the celebration of Town Meeting Day is full of festivities for most of Americans, starting from participating in community events to family get together functions. 

It is very difficult to ascertain as to how this Town Meeting Day is observed in the US. This is owing to reasons, like existence of great diversity among people. Other reasons, include mingling of several cultures and traditions that is being observed on this Town Meeting Day celebration. Many of the families install a Town Meeting Day tree, which is typically a Douglas fir. It is decorated with lights, candy canes, ornaments and tinsel. Several communities join together to install community tree in a public area, which is wide and tall in size. It also acts as a centerpiece for the holiday celebrations of the community. 

The most iconic display on this Town Meeting Day in the US, reveals lights and setting up of giant tree every year, at a place known as, Rockefeller Center. This is located in the City of New York. Along with this, a huge public skating rink is also set up for the people to view skating games on this day.
