Seward's Day is declared as a holiday for every American citizen, since it is one of the most enthusiastically celebrated day in the country. It is celebrated in the month of March, every year. Most of the Americans celebrate this day joyfully by attending a feast, having fun with friends and family. Both non-religious and religious groups of people, celebrate this Seward's Day throughout the US. But, the holiday celebrations are performed as per their own desire. However, this Seward's Day is full of holiday festivities consisting of community events to family gatherings for many citizens in America.   

In the US, it is difficult to ascertain as to how this Seward's Day is observed. This is owing to many reasons of great diversity existing among the people. Other reasons, include mingling of different cultures and traditions that are being observed on this day. However, most of the citizens of USA join for a family get together function and enjoy a great Dinner. 

The main dish of the feast comprise either ham or turkey, but in some of the feasts, the dishes include Polish sausage, cabbage, lasagna  or roasted duck, which might be offered in its place. However, one thing is certain that everyone attending the feast does share a common dish, like a sweet. This is consumed throughout the holiday season. 

The tradition of Seward's Day, includes exchange of cards and gifts. Other activities, include installing Seward's Day tree, decoration of homes with lights and ornamental articles. Parents accompany their children to see Santa Claus at the local mall. They also attend various party functions on Seward's Day. 

Seward's Day tree, which is typically a Douglas fir, is installed by most of the families. It is decorated with lights, candy canes, ornaments and tinsel. In a public area, many communities join together to install a community tree. This tree is wide and tall in size. It acts as centerpiece for the community to celebrate the holiday. 

The most iconic display of Seward’s Day in the US, consists of lights and setting up of a giant tree, every year, in the Rockefeller Center. This is located in the New York City. Along with this, a huge public ice-skating rink is arranged for the people to enjoy a skating game.
