The history of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole reveals that he was born in 1871 in a Hawaiian family. He became the prince of the Kingdom of Hawaii. In 1895, the monarchy got toppled as Prince Kuhio participated in a revolt against the Republic of Hawaii. Subsequently, he was imprisoned for a year. Later, he got elected as a delegate of the US Congress by representing from the Territory of Hawaii.
