Pioneer Day in the United States, is observed in an illustrious way. This important day is observed as a holiday in July, every year. It is one of the most enthusiastically celebrated holidays that is observed in the entire country.  Many American families on this Pioneer Day, go out and join for a sumptuous feast. They also enjoy this Pioneer Day by having fun with friends and families. Both non-religious as well as religious American families observe this day as per their own wish. However, this Pioneer Day is significantly enjoyed with festivities by most of the American citizens.  Having community events to family get together functions are the high lights of this Pioneer Day. 

It is very difficult to determine in the US, as to how this Pioneer Day is celebrated, as it has several reasons. Parents take their children to the local mall to see Santa Claus and attend various parties on this Pioneer Day. 

Many of the US based families install a Pioneer Day tree, which is typically a Douglas fir. They decorate it with lights, candy canes, ornaments and tinsel. Several communities combine together to install a community tree, which is wide and tall, in a public area. It serves as the centerpiece for celebrating the community’s holiday. 

The most significant part of display done in the US on this Pioneer Day, include decoration of lights and a huge tree being installed in a place, known as, Rockfeller Center. This is located in the City of New York. Apart from this, a huge ice skating-rink is set up for the people to enjoy skating game.
