Lyndon Baines Johnson Day is a legal and Famous state holiday in Texas. The day is celebrated to honor the U.S. President Lyndon Baines Johnson. After the death of Johnson, the Texas State Legislature created a legal state holiday every year to honor the president of the United States. The day is celebrated as a public holiday and most of the schools, businesses and institutions are closed on the 36th birthday of the President.
