In the US, Arbor Day is celebrated by the Americans. It is a holiday, and many citizens in the US, spend this holiday outside their home. They enjoy fun with their friends and families, and have a sumptuous feast on this important day. In the month of April, this particular Arbor Day is observed, which will fall on a Friday during that month. On this Arbor Day, especially, both non-religious as well as religious groups of people, plan to celebrate this holiday as per their own desire. However, for most of the American citizens, this day is full of festivities, involving community events to family get together functions. 

In the US, it can be seen that it is very difficult to ascertain as to how this holiday is celebrated. Some of the reasons, include the existence of diversity among the citizens of the US. Other reasons may be due to the mixture of several cultures and many traditions to be observed on this Arbor Day celebrations. However, in general, it may be seen that most of the Americans will enjoy the day by attending a family get together function accompanied by a great feast. 

The main dish of the feast to be held on this day, include either ham or Turkey. But in some of the feasts, it can be seen that dishes, like Polish sausage, lasagna, and cabbage are offered to the guests. In place of all this, sometimes roasted duck is also offered, as a part of the feast. However, one thing is certain everyone attending this feast will be able to enjoy sweets that is consumed throughout the day. Sweets will be offered as a common dish, which is made available to all in plenty.   

The traditions of this Arbor Day, include exchange of cards and gifts among friends and families. Other activities, include installing and decoration of an Arbor Day tree, decoration of homes with lights and other ornamentation. At the local mall, people accompanying their children will visit to see Santa Claus. They also plan to attend various parties on this Arbor Day. 

Many American citizens plan to install an Arbor Day tree, which is nothing but a typical Douglas fir. This is decorated with lights, candy canes, ornaments and tinsel. In a public area, many communities join together and install community tree. The tree is tall and wide in its size. It acts as the centerpiece for the community to celebrate the holiday celebrations happily. 

In the US, the most memorable Arbor Day display, consists of lights and a giant tree arrangement done every year in a place, known as Rockefeller Center. This is located in the City of New York. Besides, a huge public ice-skating rink is also arranged enabling the public to enjoy a game of skating.
